Surprising news out of Coral Gables where the team behind the much buzzed about Sra. Martinez Spanish cuisine restaurant has announced they are closing its doors.
“After a lot of thought, we have made the difficult decision to close Sra. Martinez,” said Chef Michelle Bernstein and her husband and business partner David Martinez in a statement on social media.
“We’re incredibly grateful for all the meals, celebrations, late nights, and memories we’ve shared together of the last two years,” the message continued.
Sra. Martinez originally opened in December 2024, as reported here on The Burn Miami. The last night of service will be this Saturday, September 26.
However, it sounds like all is not lost. Bernstein and Martinez said they will be keeping the restaurant space – located at 2325 Galiano Street – and potentially bringing a new restaurant concept there in the future. You can see the couple’s full statement below.
