A new H&H Bagels shop is in the works for Coral Gables as the brand founded in New York City in 1972 expands around South Florida.
H&H will be taking the vacant restaurant space at 2614 Ponce de Leon Boulevard. That used to be the home to the Canton Too Chinese restaurant.
H&H features a menu that starts with bagels such as Poppy, Blueberry, Onion, Asiago Cheese, and many others. And then they offer a variety of different flavored cream cheeses.
From there the menu expands to all kinds of bagel breakfast sandwiches and bagel lunch sandwiches.
“Our original recipe and traditional water bagel method has become synonymous with ‘the New York bagel,’ earning cameos in Seinfeld, Sex and the City, The Office, and many more,” the brand’s website touts.
There is currently one H&H Bagels in the Miami area and that’s in Pinecrest, according to the website.
Another one is in the works for Wynwood and the Gables should be store No. 3 locally. No word yet when they hope to open, so stay tuned.
Meanwhile, it’s a veritable bagel bonanza in the area. As The Burn Miami has reported, Mitch’s Downtown bagel-themed restaurant is coming to the Gables on Alhambra Circle.
And down in South Miami, PopUp Bagels is getting ready to set up shop on Sunset Drive.
