A funky new candy shop and exotic soda pop store has quietly opened its doors in downtown Coral Gables. We’re talking about the new Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop location.
Rocket Fizz has opened at 154 Giralda Avenue. That’s in the pedestrian-only shopping block of Giralda.
The shop has taken over the space that was formerly occupied by Candle Land, a candle pouring studio. In a cute little aside, Rocket Fizz has tweaked the words “Candle Land” on the awning out front to read “Candy Land” instead.

If you’re not familiar, Rocket Fizz is a national chain with shops across the country. According to the company’s website, the Gables spot and another store at The Falls down south are the only two in the Miami area currently.
The shops carry a huge selection of candies including lots of retro candies like Bottlecaps, Lemonheads, Pop Rocks, Lifesavers, various sorts of taffy plus international candies as well.

Rocket Fizz is also known for its wild selection of soda pops. They carry many retro sodas that our grandparents would have known – brands such as Dad’s, Frostie, and Brownie.
They also carry bizarre flavored sodas such as a bacon soda, a mustard soda, a peanut butter soda, a sweet corn soda, an enchilada soda, and more.

It’s a lineup you have to see to believe and you can check out more details here.
The shop also carries fun vintage signs and other assorted retro knickknacks.
