It was a busy opening night as the new Miami Slice pizza restaurant in Coconut Grove officially started welcoming guests this evening, Wednesday, August 12.
The Burn Miami stopped by to get a first look at the new restaurant.
We found a crowd outside the front doors – as people waited for a table inside or to pick up the carryout pizzas they had ordered.
Inside, the restaurant was packed – as the flames from the wood-fired pizza (and the brand’s asterisk logo done up in neon) cast a glow over the space.
As we’ve been reporting, Miami Slice took over the former Harry’s Pizzeria space at 2996 McFarlane Road.
Harry’s closed both its Grove location and its Miami Beach spot back in May 2025.
Miami Slice specializes in New York-style pies and has locations in downtown Miami, Key Biscayne, and Las Vegas.
