Exciting news for area foodies – the Italian restaurant Pasta e Basta is expanding and opening a second location in Coconut Grove.
The Burn Miami has exclusively learned that Pasta e Basta will be setting up shop at 3306 Mary Street.
That’s the former home of the Aida Mexican restaurant, located in between the Emissary coffee shop and the Omakai sushi restaurant.
Pasta e Basta opened its current location back in 2023 at 30 Northwest 34th Street, Suite 110.
The restaurant is known for its handmade pastas and family-style recipes.
Sample dishes include Conchiglioni al Sugo di Carne which is angus beef short rib ragù, tomato sauce and Parmigiano reggiano; an Orecchiette al Tonno, which is yellowfin tuna, cherry tomatoes, taggiasca olives, capers, and red chili pepper; and a Gnocchi al Quattro Formaggi made with fontina, gorgonzola, brie, and grana padano.
Pasta e Basta also has antipasti dishes, desserts, and wines. You can see the full menu here.
It still too early for an official launch date, but the Pasta e Basta team tells us they are hoping to open their doors by the end of the year.
