A new bakery and coffee shop has opened in downtown Coral Gables, one that is specializing in Basque cheesecakes and other treats.
It’s called Canelita and it can be found at 374 Miracle Mile in the Gables.
That spot was previously occupied by Alto Tostado, a Bolivian coffee shop that closed this past spring.
“Come discover our famous handcrafted Basque cheesecakes, specialty coffee, and delicious brunch in a cozy atmosphere made with love,” the opening announcement on social media reads. “Whether you’re craving something sweet, a great cup of coffee, or the creamiest cheesecake in Miami, we’ve got you covered.”
Canelita features a menu full of different flavored cheesecakes including Tiramisu, Dulce de Leche, Passion Fruit, Pistachio, Coconut and more.
They also offer other kinds of cakes plus savory Bolivian salteñas, and a lineup of coffees and other beverages.
According to the brand’s website, this is its second brick-and-mortar location after an original store at 1653 North Miami Avenue.
