A DC-area bagel restaurant is getting ready to expand into South Florida. The Miami area can start looking forward to the funky, fun Call Your Mother Deli.
In a press release today, Call Your Mother announced that it would be opening its first location in the market on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables.
Its address will be 317 Miracle Mile, taking over the space left vacant when Bodega Taqueria recently closed.
“Guests can expect bagels that are malt-boiled to shine on the outside, baked daily in-shop to be soft on the inside with a kiss of honey, built with a tiny hole to hold a proper sandwich,” the announcement reads.
“The menu will include Call Your Mother Favorites such as the Jetski (Brisket + pastrami + sofrito, cheese, jalapeño, on a cheddar bagel), the DelRay Club (Bacon, jalapeño, nectarine, potato chips, and peach cream cheese, on a plain bagel) and of course, the classic Suncity (Bacon, pastrami, or Impossible sausage, bodega-style egg, cheeses, spicy honey, on an everything bagel),” it continued.
Call Your Mother got its start in DC in 2018 and has now expanded to more than 30 locations open or in the works in six states and the District.
Right now, the CYM team says they are aiming to have the Gables location open by late this year. And they are definitely not ruling out future locations around the region.
“Who knows?” said CYM co-founder Andrew Dana. “We don’t have a big master plan now, but we love the sunshine and we’re looking for more great neighborhoods in need of carbs!”
