Work is back underway on a new Mediterranean shawarma and falafel restaurant coming to the Gables area at the end of Miracle Mile – the first for the brand in South Florida.
We’re talking about Boustan, a Canadian chain entering the U.S. market.
As The Burn Miami first reported back in March 2025, Boustan is opening at 2283 Southwest 37th Avenue. That’s right next door to a Pei Wei and a Chipotle.
We’ve seen signs of work on and off over the past year, including the installation of the signs on the exterior of the building. But there were long periods where we could discern no activity.
Now, the doors have been open and construction workers flowing in and out. A peek inside shows walls are being framed out and other infrastructure work is underway.
The brand has one U.S. location so far in Clearwater and another up in New Jersey. The Miami store on Southwest 37th is listed as “coming soon.”
Customers at Boustan choose from mains such as chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, roasted chicken kebab, lemon herb chicken breast, falafel, and more.
They can have it in a bowl, a pita, or a wrap along with rice, quinoa, greens, and a large choice of toppings. You can see the full Boustan menu here.
