A new restaurant specializing in French-style brunch dishes, as well as a gelato shop and speakeasy bar are all in the works for South Miami.
The Burn Miami has learned that Vitavie will be the new tenant in the corner unit at 5829 Southwest 73rd Street.
That spot is the former home of the Bar Bella tapas and Vice City Pizza restaurants.
The owners, who hail from France and Belgium, describe Vitavie as French brunch restaurant specializing in both savory and sweet waffles and brioches.
Of course, there will be other dishes as well and brunch cocktails too.
Vitavie will be an all-day restaurant with hours roughly fro 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with both indoor and outdoor sidewalk dining.
Besides Vitavie, the space on Southwest 73rd will also have a walk-up window serving up fresh gelato.
And around the corner on Southwest 58th Avenue, there will be new speakeasy bar and lounge called Minuit – which means “midnight” in French. It will be a late night venue with hours starting in the evening.
No opening has been set yet, but the Vitavie team tells us they are shooting for September.
