An exciting new fast-casual restaurant is on its way to downtown Coral Gables. It will be the latest location for TAP Brazilian Cafe.
TAP is coming to 142 Giralda Avenue. That’s along the pedestrian walkway portion of Giralda filled with restaurants and sidewalk dining.
TAP is moving into the space that was recently vacated by Sand’which Miami, a local sandwich shop.
According to the company’s website, there are four TAP locations – three in New York City and one here in Miami in Brickell.
Now, they are expanding to the Gables. Temporary signage is already up on the exterior windows touting the new restaurant.

The name TAP comes from the initials of Tapioca, Açaí, and Pão de Queijo – three iconic foods from Brazil.
At TAP, diners will find a menu offering açai bowls, smoothies, tapioca sandwiches, egg wraps, paninis and more. You can see the Brickell location’s full menu here.
The Burn Miami checked with the local TAP team and they tell us they are hoping to be ready to open in Coral Gables by mid-June if all goes smoothly.
