There’s new confirmation of news The Burn Miami first broke back in February. That’s when we exclusively reported on a large new restaurant called Grand Public Kitchen & Bar coming to Coconut Grove.
Now, the upcoming restaurant has officially announced its intentions. “Dear Coconut Grove,” the restaurant’s team posted on social media. “We’re excited to meet you soon, very soon.”

The post also included the cute artist rendering of the future restaurant seen at the top of this story.
A nascent Grand Public website has been launched as well – featuring the restaurant’s peacock logo – a nice hat tip to the familiar peacocks around the Grove.
As we reported, Grand Public is coming to Cocowalk. It’s taking over the roughly 7,200 s.f. space that previously the Planta Queen vegetarian restaurant.
That’s right above the Chop Steakhouse & Bar.
While details on the menu haven’t been revealed, a listing on the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau site says “Grand Public is a modern American kitchen with global coastal influences.”
We’ll keep you posted on Grand Public’s progress and new details as they’re released.
