Update on the Ami Ami cafe coming to Coral Gables

Work continues on the new Ami Ami coming to downtown Coral Gables – and now we’ve got a sneak peek at some of the cafe’s menu items.

As The Burn Miami first told readers last July, Ami Ami will be a “cultural cafe” offering not just food and beverages, but also art, music, books, and more in an artfully decorated space.

The new establishment is taking over the former Lotus Garden Restaurant space at 318 Miracle Mile.

“Construction is well underway at Ami Ami,” wrote owner Milena Damchevski in a message to The Burn Miami. “We are working on finalizing the menu with wonderful Chef Joey Giannuzzi.”

Giannuzzi was the longtime chef at Henry’s of Boca and has also owned and operated the Green Gourmet restaurant in Delray Beach and the Farmer’s Table in Boca Raton.

From pictures Damchevski shared, we can see that items on the menu will include things such as a burrata plate and flatbreads.

No opening date has been set yet, so stay tuned for that announcement hopefully soon.
