Madrid’s Quintín Ultramarinos opening in the Gables

Big news on the Coral Gables dining scene – a major international restaurant is making a first foray to South Florida.

It’s been announced that the Quintín Ultramarinos, a restaurant based in Madrid, will open at the upcoming Ponce Park development in downtown Gables.

Ponce Park is a huge new 11-story building going up at 3000 Ponce de Leon Boulevard. That’s right across Ponce from The Plaza Coral Gables.

The project will feature 58 bespoke residences offering two to five bedroom homes and penthouses.

As with many residential buildings, there will be commercial space on the ground floor – and Quintín is the first tenant announced for Ponce Park.

“Madrid’s iconic hospitality concept Quintín Ultramarinos is coming to Ponce Park — and it’s about to elevate the entire neighborhood,” the announcement on social media reads. “Known internationally for blending food, culture, design, and community, Quintín is more than a restaurant. It’s a lifestyle destination.”

A peek at the menu from the location in Spain shows dishes such as Artichoke with Crayfish with Palo Cortado sherry; Oxtail with Yucca Chips; and Spider Crab Cannelloni.

You can see more of the main Quintín Ultramarinos menu below – but, of course, there is no guarantee that the new Coral Gables menu will be the exact same.

Work on Ponce Park is still in the early stages, so no word yet when Quintín might actually open – but it’s exciting to hear the news that it is coming.
