A new restaurant with a celebrity chef pedigree and a simple menu focused on killer chicken sandwiches has announced its opening date in downtown Coral Gables.
We’re of course talking about the new Fuku opening at 135 Miracle Mile.
Back in September, The Burn Miami first told readers about Fuku coming to the spot that previously housed a bakery.
Now, the Fuku team has announced that the official opening day will be Wednesday, March 11.
Fuku is an offshoot of Chef David Chang’s famous Momofuku restaurant brand out of New York City.
That’s where he developed an off-menu chicken sandwich – “sando” is the slang Fuku uses – that proved so popular, Chang broke it off into its own separate concept.
Currently, there are Fuku locations in many stadiums and arenas across the country, but according to the brand’s website, the Miracle Mile location will be one of the first stand-alone stores.
The menu at Fuku includes the O.G. Chicken Sando, the Sweet & Spicy, and the Miso Ranch & Slaw.
