It looks like the growing Miami restaurant brand Rice Mediterranean Kitchen is setting up shop at CocoWalk in Coconut Grove.
The Burn Miami has learned from two sources that Rice Mediterranean is the likely mystery tenant taking over the former Botanico Gin & Cookhouse spot.
As we first reported last week, signage up on the windows of the vacant space indicated the unnamed new restaurant was going to feature Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine.
Dishes pictured include kabobs, rice bowls, pita and hummus, and more.

Now, we’ve been told that Rice Mediterranean is the tenant and indeed – once you look closely at the images on the windows at CocoWalk and compare them with images on the Rice Mediterranean website, it’s clear they are from the same photoshoot.

The fast-casual restaurant brand has nine locations currently, according to the company website. Eight of them are in and around Miami – including Coral Gables and South Miami – with one outpost up in Fort Lauderdale.
We’ve reached out to the team at Rice Mediterranean for official confirmation and details on when they hope to open. Stay tuned and we’ll report back on what we learn.
