It’s the last day for The Last Carrot. The Coconut Grove institution has announced it is closing its doors on Grand Avenue on Saturday, February 7.
The eatery – known for its smoothies, juices, salads, and vegetarian fare – is being forced to move from its longtime spot at 3133 Grand because the property has been sold. The business dates back to 1975.
The other tenants in that same block have moved or are moving out also and it will become the new Ziggurat development.
The move has been in the works for nearly a year now since the sale of the property was announced in early 2025.
“We wanted to … invite you to stop by over the next couple of weeks to say hi, have your favorite juice, sit at the counter, and soak in the memories,” the owners posted on social media. “Thank you for the loyalty, the love, the conversations, and the support you’ve shown us over the years. This place has always been about more than food – it’s been about people.”

Despite the last day on February 7, the owners of The Last Carrot haven’t specifically said the closing is for good – leaving the door open that they will move to another location.
We have messages into The Last Carrot team for more about their future plans.
