A new Mexican-themed restaurant is in the works for the Coral Gables area – and it will specialize in “botanas” – the Mexican version of tapas or shared plates.
It’s called Casa Mx and it’s coming to 2345 Southwest 37th Avenue. That’s the former home of the Keik Bakeshop on Douglas Road.
Besides the botanas, there will also be a menu of larger entrees and steaks as well. The details of the menu are still being finalized and it will be released soon.
As far as a timeline to opening – the owner tells The Burn Miami they are aiming for mid-to-late January if all goes smoothly.
