The restaurant Bontanico Gin & Cookhouse has closed its doors at CocoWalk in Coconut Grove and now it looks like a new Middle Eastern- or Mediterranean-style restaurant is possibly taking its place.
The windows at Botanico – which shuttered earlier this fall – are covered over with signage indicating something new is in the works.
It includes the words “Nothing brings people together like good food” and features a QR code. That code takes you to a contest page asking participants to guess which new restaurant is coming to the space.
The window signage shows dishes such as kabobs, hummus, pita bread, and rice – indicating Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine could be the focus of the new establishment.
We have some guesses, but nothing we are willing to bet the farm on, so we will eagerly await more news and report back here on The Burn Miami as soon as we get it.
