South Miami’s Subby’s Subs gets new name, new locations

Big changes for the popular South Miami sub sandwich shop previously known as Subby’s Subs. The brand has undergone a name change and continues to expand across South Florida.

First things first – Subby’s has officially changed its name to Subbin’ Subs and is slowly changing over the branding. It’s a subtle change, but the owner says its an important distinction.

“Every brand grows, and we’re leveling up. You’ve known us as Subby’s, but it’s time for a new chapter. Introducing our new name: Subbin’,” EJ Martinez posted to social media. “It’s the feeling you get when the sub hits just right and the vibes are on point. Same delicious subs. Same energy. Just a name that finally matches the vibe.”

As The Burn Miami reported back in September, Subbin’ is also growing. A new location in West Kendall is expected to officially open any day now – last target announced was the week after Thanksgiving.

And now, we’ve learned that Subbin’ has signed a deal for a Doral location. It will be coming to the upcoming Doral Marketplace plaza at Northwest 107th Avenue and Northwest 41st Street.

That center will be anchored by a Whole Foods and co-tenants for Subbin’ will include a First Watch restaurant, a Cava restaurant, a Chick-fil-A, a Shake Shack, and many others.

There are also reports circulating that a fourth Subbin’ location is in the works, but no word yet on where that will be. We’ve reached out to Martinez for the scoop.

In the meantime, the original Subbin’ location at 7370 Southwest 57th Avenue is still going strong. You can see its menu below.
