Chuggie’s announces opening date in the Grove

Chuggie’s – a new restaurant coming to Coconut Grove – has announced its opening date. They will start welcoming diners on Monday, November 17.

“Step into Chuggie’s, the heart of Coconut Grove’s burger scene, where every bite is a trip back to classic Miami,” the restaurant’s website reads. “Born from the childhood nickname of Chef Michael Beltran, Chuggie’s isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a Miami burger joint built on nostalgia, serving up the honest, affordable flavors that defined our youth.”

The menu includes Cuban-style burgers known as fritas, chicken nuggets, French fries, and more. There will also be soft serve ice cream. You can see the Chuggie’s menu below.

The Burn Miami was the first media outlet to report the news back in July that Chuggie’s was coming to a space near the intersection of Fuller Street and Main Highway in the Grove.

The official address is 3444 Main Highway Suite 21, but the storefront for Chuggie’s looks out on Fuller Street, which is a pedestrian side street off of Main Highway.

The space is basically tucked behind the popular restaurant Chug’s Diner and its courtyard patio. As you may intuit from the names, Chug’s Diner and Chuggie’s have some of the same owners.

Chuggie’s is the first of three highly anticipated restaurants coming to the same spot. As The Burn Miami first reported – right next to Chuggie’s, a new location for Drinking Pig BBQ will open – and next to that, a new speakeasy style bar called Mae’s Room.

All three establishments are part of a collaboration between the Ariete Hospitality Group and Mae’s Group.
