A new pizza shop is in the works for downtown Coral Gables. It’s called Belluz Pizza and it will specialize in two types of Roman-style pies.
Belluz Pizza is coming to 2413 Galiano Street. That spot is the former home to Pomodoro’s Pizza.
The Belluz website says its menu will offer a classic Pizza Romana, which it describes as a thin crust pizza with crispy edges and a soft center.

There will also be Teglia Romana, which is a described as a square pizza with a thick, airy crust that’s crisp on the bottom.
There will also be various sandwiches served on a bread made from pizza dough.
The Belluz sign is up out in front of the door on Galiano, but no word yet on when the shop might open. We’ve got a message in for more information.
It’s worth noting this is the second restaurant touting Roman-style pizza in the works for downtown Gables. As The Burn Miami first reported back in April, Massimo’s Pizzeria is coming to nearby Miracle Mile.
Construction is well underway on Massimo’s, which will be located at 223A Miracle Mile.
