My Cousin Nick opens for business in the Gables

It’s opening day for My Cousin Nick Greek Street Food in Coral Gables. The new fast-casual restaurant officially got the green light from the city and started welcoming guests this afternoon – Wednesday, October 22.

It also marked our first chance to get a look at the eatery’s full menu.

Back in March, The Burn Miami was the first news outlet to report on the plans for My Cousin Nick and it’s new spot at 2207 Ponce de Leon Boulevard. It took over the former Laki Bowls space.

The restaurant is the brainchild of Thomas Fotouras, who owns the Calista Greek Seafood Taverna just around the corner on Giralda Avenue. He wanted to do a quicker version of the Greek cuisine that he offers over at the full-service Calista.

The menu at My Cousin Nick includes several salads like a Greek Salad and an Orzo Salad. There are signature bowls such as the Cousin Chicken, the Nick’s Lamb, and the Hot Honey Halloumi.

Of course, there are pita and sandwiches, including a Pork Gyro, a Chicken Gyro, and a Lamb Gyro. There are Loaded Fries, Basmati Rice, Hummus, Falafel, and even Cheese Croquettes. You can see the full menu in the image below.
