The South Miami community is one step closer to having Skinny Louie’s famous smash burgers and milkshakes nearby. Construction has officially started on a new Skinny Louie in the neighborhood.
As The Burn Miami first reported back in April, the fast-growing burger chain is bringing a location to 6022 South Dixie Highway. That’s right next door to a Pura Vida Miami restaurant, an Oakberry açai bowl shop, and The Salty doughnut shop.
A Burn Miami reporter passed by this week and work crews were inside the space starting to frame out the walls and counters.
According to the company website, the brand currently has six locations open including one on Giralda Avenue in Coral Gables. They have another nine locations announced and in the works, in both South Florida and in New York.
When we last checked with the folks at Skinny Louie HQ, the were hoping to be ready to open the South Miami store either late this year or in the first quarter of 2026.
