Unfortunate news coming from downtown Coral Gables where L’Artisane Bakery & Bistro has closed its doors for good.
The shop – which billed itself as America’s first vegan French bakery – shut down this past weekend. The windows at the spot at 2526 Ponce de Leon Boulevard are already covered over with butcher block paper.

However, there is good news. L’Artisane is not going out of business.
Instead, they are transitioning to an online bakery, shipping its croissants, donuts, cookies, and more to customers who order via the L’Artisane website.
“We wished it lasted a bit longer. We hoped to welcome you for many more mornings. But life brings new chapters,” the store’s team posted on social media. “But L’Artisane is not gone. We’re staying online, still baking for you, still part of your story. Thank you for every smile, every visit, every moment shared. This is not goodbye… just a new beginning.”
