There has been a lot of buzz since The Burn Miami reported on the plans for not one, not two, but three new food and beverage establishments getting ready to open side by side in Coconut Grove.
We’re talking about Chuggie’s, Drinking Pig BBQ, and Mae’s Room.
We first reported the news about Chuggie’s in late July. The restaurant – coming from the same team behind the neighboring Chug’s Diner – will specialize in burgers, fritas, and soft serve ice cream.

Now, thanks to some lovely renderings from the Miami design firm Studio Lobo, we have an idea of what the new Chuggie’s will look like when it’s complete.
The storefront for Chuggie’s will face out onto Fuller Street, which lately has been a closed pedestrian street between Grand Avenue and Main Highway in the Grove.
This closed street allows Chuggie’s and other restaurants to have picnic tables out front for diners.
Inside, we see a proposed yellow tile theme for what appears to be a fast-casual style restaurant with ordering at a counter.

Next door to Chuggie’s facing out on the Chug’s Diner patio will be Drinking Pig BBQ. You can see our report on Drinking Pig here.
And next door to Drinking Pig will be Mae’s Room, an upscale bar done up in a “library style” with deep, rich colors, low lights, and book-lined shelves. See our story about Mae’s Room here.
The new food and drink venues are part of a partnership between Ariete Hospitality Group and Mae’s Group.
