Da Angelino announces opening date in Coconut Grove

Da Angelino, a new Italian restaurant coming to Coconut Grove, has announced it’s opening date – and it’s almost here.

Located inside Cocowalk, Da Angelina will start welcoming guests tomorrow, Thursday, September 4.

“More than a restaurant, Da Angelino is a love letter to Italy: soulful, house-made pastas, freshly prepared meats and seafood and dishes that honor tradition with a contemporary touch,” reads the restaurant’s website.

The menu includes stuzzichini – or nibbles – such as Arancini, Mini Calzoni, and Polenta Tartufata. There are various antipasti, salads, and a selection of meats and cheeses.

For mains, there dishes such as Risotto Capesante, Rose & Burrata which is carnaroli rice served with seared scallops, rose petals and burrata dollops. There’s also an Antara a Ventaglio which is a seared duck breast, served with mushrooms, potatoes, and a truffle demi-glace.

The menu also has several hearty steak options, sides and dolci – aka desserts. You can check out the full Da Angelino menu here.

The restaurant is the work of two major hospitality groups in the region – the Graspa Group and the Ariete Hospitality Group.

Graspa are the ones behind local favorites such as Salumeria 104, Osteria, and Spris Pizza. Ariete are the creators of a bunch of concepts, including the much-loved Chug’s Diner and the Michelin-starred Ariete, both in the Grove.

Da Angelino has taken over the space where the restaurant Eva used to reside. That establishment closed earlier this summer.
