After more than a decade serving up thoughtful Italian seafood in Coconut Grove, the Sapore di Mare restaurant is getting ready to make a move. Fortunately, it’s staying close by.
Sapore di Mare will leave its spot on Grand Avenue and move around the corner onto Main Highway. Specifically, it will land at 3433 Main Highway.
The news was first reported by the Coconut Grove Spotlight.
If that address on Main sounds familiar, that’s because until very recently, it was the home to the Like Mike restaurant, another Italian concept that had occupied the space for several years now.
The Google listing for Like Mike says it has permanently closed. We’ve got messages into the Like Mike team to see if they have plans to reopen anywhere else.
In the meanwhile, the window signage about Sapore di Mare is already up on the new building.
There’s conflicting information about exactly when Sapore’s move from Grand over to Main will take place. A note on the website indicates it should be this fall, but an employee we spoke with said it could be 2026.

Sapore di Mare – along with all its neighbors in that stretch of Grand Avenue – are having to move because of the upcoming Ziggurat Coconut Grove condo building that will be built on the site.
The UPS Store next to Sapore di Mare has already closed and moved to a new spot along Grand Avenue closer to South Dixie Highway.
