The turnover in the Coral Gables restaurant scene continues as the unfortunate word spreads that the Italian restaurant Erba has decided to close its doors.
Located at 227 South Dixie Highway, Erba opened back in late 2023 and quickly garnered rave reviews and awards too.
But now, the team at the Miami New Times is reporting Erba is calling it quits. We haven’t seen an official announcement yet nor a final service date.
No reason was apparently given for the closure, but its been a tough season for many tried-and-true restaurants in the area.
In recent months, The Burn Miami has reported on the closures of Caffe Vialetto, The Capital Burger, The Brunchful and Èze Bistro in Coral Gables and Eva, RedFarm, and Harry’s Pizzeria in Coconut Grove.
There are also the supposed temporary closures of Sereia in the Grove and Osumi in the Gables, although we haven’t heard any word about them definitively returning either.
