Honey Veil Cafe & Bakery, a local enterprise run by two sisters with an assist from their mom, is working on its first full-fledged cafe.
Honey Veil will take over the corner space that previously occupied by Spris Pizza in South Miami. That’s at 5748 Sunset Drive.
The sweet start up got underway less than a year ago in October 2024 with a stand at a local farmers market. Early this year, they graduated to a custom-designed trailer that became the new heart of Honey Veil.
Now it’s time for their a full on brick-and-mortar cafe. The windows at the spot on Sunset are covered over in butcher block paper, but Honey Veil is already spreading the news with slogans affixed to the glass.
“Pardon our dust. Matcha in the making” and “Something green is growing inside” are just a couple of them.
Matcha is the specialty of Honey Veil and the menu has items such as the Blue Babe Matcha and the Brunei Dirty Matcha. A Banana Bread Matcha is the current special flavor.

They also have coffee drinks and baked goods on the menu as well. No word yet on when Honey Veil in South Miami will open its doors, so stay tuned.
And for local fans of Spris Pizza fear not. They have locations on Miami Beach and in Miami plus one in Hallandale.
