Havana Harry’s ‘temporarily closed’ in Coral Gables

It’s been a rough summer for Havana Harry’s in Coral Gables. The restaurant is once again closed while “important interior upgrades” are taken care of.

The restaurant already had a bout of bad publicity in June when state inspectors temporarily shut the restaurant down due to a problem with roaches, according to an investigative report by WPLG-TV.

Now, the restaurant at 4612 Le Jeune Road has closed temporarily once again.

“Havana Harry’s is temporarily closed as we complete important interior upgrades. These include plumbing and kitchen improvements, along with other facility enhancements — all designed to ensure the highest standards of comfort, safety, and experience for our guests and team,” a post on Harry’s social media reads. “We’re working closely with the city and local authorities to move this process forward as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you back very soon.”

Havana Harry’s is celebrating 30 years in Coral Gables this year, so longtime fans surely hope these current challenges are fleeting and they are back in business soon.
