The Sushi Maki restaurant chain based here in the Miami area has closed one of its longtime locations.
The company has unfortunately pulled the plug on the Sushi Maki that was long a staple of South Miami at 5812 Sunset Drive.
The news was first reported by the team at the Miami New Times, which added that this location was the original Sushi Maki when it first opened 25 years ago.
Today, even with this closure – Sushi Maki still has seven locations around Miami-Dade County, according to its website.
No word what new restaurant or store might take the spot on Sunset being vacated by Sushi Maki, so stay tuned.
