Another new restaurant is in the works from the folks behind the Coconut Grove restaurant Chug’s Diner. The name is even a spin-off of that popular establishment.
The folks at the Ariete Hospitality Group have announced that they will be opening a new spot in the grove called Chuggies.
We believe the location is going to be in a space immediately adjacent to the existing Chug’s Diner at 3444 Main Highway.
There’s been construction going on there for sometime, and when we recently asked our server at Chug’s what they were building there, he told us it was going to be something called Chuggies.
Well, now we know that Chuggies is indeed a new eatery in the works and that it will focus on hamburgers and fritas – the well-known Cuban taken on a burger usually made with spices, onions, and shoestring potatoes. It will also offer soft serve ice cream.
There’s no official opening date yet for Chuggies. On social media, it just says coming in 2025.
