First look inside the Grove’s new Chop Steakhouse

Today is opening day for the new Chop Steakhouse in Coconut Grove – and The Burn Miami has your first look inside the new restaurant.

As we have been reporting, Chop is a Canadian steakhouse brand that is making its first foray into the U.S. market.

The restaurant has taken over a roughly 10,000 s.f. space in Cocowalk in Coconut Grove. The spot used to be the home of The Key Club restaurant.

Over the past few days, Chop has been holding some warm-up services for friends, family, and special guests – and today, Wednesday, June 11, is the official opening day.

The interior has subdued lighting, dramatic illuminated shelving and large floral displays around a dining room with booths and a long banquette with tables and chairs.

The menu at Chop is classic steakhouse with dishes such as oysters, shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, seafood entrées, and a variety of cuts of steak, including a filet mignon, a ribeye and a tomahawk.
