Unfortunate news coming out of downtown Coral Gables where The Capital Burger restaurant has closed its doors for good.
The windows at the location at 300 Miracle Mile have been covered over and the signage removed after the late April closure.
Callers to the restaurant’s phone number get a recording saying The Capital Burger is closed permanently. It directs diners to sister establishments such as Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Seasons 52.
The brand’s website lists just three remaining Capital Burger locations – one each in the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
The Capital Burger opened in 2023, taking the roughly 6,000 s.f. spot that previously had been a California Pizza Kitchen.
No word yet on what new tenant might fill that space next.
