A new entertainment venue called Five Iron Golf has announced it will be opening a location at The Plaza in Coral Gables. And it’s got bigger plans for South Florida in the future.
The brand is taking a 29,500 s.f. space in the center off Ponce de Leon Boulevard.
Five Iron Golf will feature “12 state-of-the-art golf simulators powered by Trackman technology, along with 12 bowling lanes, and versatile indoor-outdoor spaces that showcase Five Iron’s signature fusion of golf performance, entertainment, and hospitality,” the announcement reads.
There will also be a full service restaurant and bar and spaces set aside for private events.

The company already has locations open or in the works in more than 30 major cities across the country.
The Coral Gables location – which should open in the first quarter of 2026 – will be one of the first in Florida, but there are plans for others in Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and St. Petersburg.
Even more noteworthy for folks in our area – the announcement also says there is another Five Iron Golf facility in the works for Coconut Grove. No word yet when or where that location will be opening.
It’s also interesting to note that Five Iron Golf touts that it will have 12 bowling lanes. That’s noteworthy because – last we heard – Pinstripes, a high-end bowling and bocce entertainment venue, is also opening at The Plaza, tentatively this coming fall.
