Last week, The Burn Miami reported on plans for a new gourmet organic market to open somewhere in Coconut Grove. The precise location was unclear. However, today, the mystery is solved.
It’s called Basquet and it’s coming to a spot at 2829 Bird Road, in a small retail plaza called the Grove Center. That’s just a block down the street from the Flanigan’s restaurant.
The market is taking one of the first floor units in the center and construction on the space is currently in full stride, as the Basquet team has shared on social media.
Basquet specializes in organic products and has held several pop-up stores in both Florida and New York City.
“Basquet is home to a collection of fine foods from reimagined pantry staples to non-alcoholic alternatives and everything in between,” the company’s website reads.
Some of the products on their site include a Chili Margarita from Aplos, Sardines in Lemon from Sardinha, and Vanilla Lavender Cookies from Courtney’s Cookies.
No word yet on when Basquet will open, but it shouldn’t be too much longer.
