We’ve got an update on the eagerly anticipated reopening of the Strada in the Grove Italian restaurant on Commodore Plaza in Coconut Grove. We’re told they are aiming for a mid-April opening if all goes smoothly.
“Between April 15 and April 20” is the target according to the Strada team when The Burn stopped by recently.
As longtime diners in the area know, Strada in the Grove used to be located in a spot on one side of Commodore Plaza. The same owners also had Farinelli 1937, another Italian-themed pizzeria and restaurant on the other side of the street.
Now, they are combining the two restaurants into one in the former Farinelli 1937 spot, which is found at 3197 Commodore Plaza.

They’ve given the space, including the large outdoor patio, a complete facelift and the finishing touches are being wrapped up as we speak.
Fingers crossed that they hit their target and Strada reopens for business in less than a month.
