After years of anticipation, a new restaurant called La Specialita Café & Market should be opening in the near future in Coconut Grove.
In recent days, the café’s social media is teasing that an “opening date will be released soon.”
La Specialita will be located in a roughly 5,200 s.f. space at 2653 South Bayshore Drive. The restaurant is on the ground floor of the new Mr. C Residences, a luxury condo building.
First announced back in 2022, La Specialita will serve up breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
“Le Specialita Café & Market aims to celebrate the rustic vision of Italian cuisine while exploring the intersection of family traditions and recipes from various regions,” the restaurant’s website reads.
We don’t see a menu publicly available yet, but the website suggests that Shrimp & Avocado Salad, Chocolate Crepes, and fresh-baked pastries will be among the specialties at La Specialita.
There will also be a small gourmet Italian market on site with items for sale such as sauces, olive oils, cheeses, and more.
