The eagerly anticpated return of the Sra. Martinez restaurant is finally here. After more than a decade, the once acclaimed restaurant from Miami’s Design District is returning — only this time in Coral Gables.
The restaurant is taking a corner unit at 2325 Galiano Street. That’s next door to the popular Graziano’s Mercado location.
Staffers were busy training when The Burn stopped by and they told us opening day is tomorrow — December 12. On social media, the opening date is listed as the following day — December 13 — but it wouldn’t be the first time a restaurant quietly started service early.

Sra. Martinez was originally opened in 2008 by well-known local chef Michelle Bernstein and her husband, David Martinez. It quickly won rave reviews from diners and critics alike. The restaurant subsequently closed in 2012.
Now, Bernstein and Martinez are bringing Sra. Martinez back with a menu once again focused on elevated versions of traditional Spanish fare.
The new menu features appetizers such as Chicken Liver Pate with Warm Beignets, a Kampachi Crudo, Crispy California Artichokes, and the Spanish favorite — Pan con Tomate.
Entrees on the menu — dubbed “Fuertes” — include a Saffron-Lemon Wood Roasted Chicken, King Oyster and Trumpet Mushroom Shawarma, and an Oxtail Paella with Melting Bone Marrow.
There are also steaks, croquetas, various side dishes, desserts, and more. You can check out the full Sra. Ramirez menu here.
